The KwaZulu-Natal Film Commission is calling for applications from local (KwaZulu-Natal) film and TV producers to be part of the KwaZulu-Natal Film Commission’s registered delegates at the Durban FilmMart 2022.
The Durban Film Mart will take place online from 22 to 31 July, with the physical event taking place in Durban from 22 to 24 July 2022 under the theme: Revolution Evolution – Changing The Narrative. The theme will focus on these evolutions, on the game changers working to bring inclusivity and access and the new spaces driving content creation.
Durban FilmMart 2022 will highlight the work of those breaking away from narratives imposed by traditional role players of influence, pushing the boundaries and changing the way the film industry operates by bringing in industry professionals who have used innovative ways to monetize their content on new and emerging platforms.
The Durban FilmMart’s track record speaks for itself and has provided a platform that acknowledges, encourages and celebrates excellence amongst local and continental filmmakers by giving them the opportunity to gain valuable exposure and well-deserved recognition for their national and global expansion ambitions. The unique networking events create discussions and project promotion that advances growth and expansion of African cinema.
Closing date for submissions: 18 July 2022
Applications must include the following:
- A motivation to attend the market that details how your attendance will assist you and your desired outcomes from your attendance of the festival
- A copy of your CV.
- Valid proof of residence

NB: All KZN Film Commission delegates will be required to submit attendance report within 14 days after the event.
